| With regards to the holiday, everything was better than expected. The Magawish was a good hotel and very good location. Colona watersports are spot on. The only downside was the wind was a bit up and down, but you cant control that!. I would definitly recommend it to friends. |

Following my recent trip to Hurghada with Waveriders I would just like to say a big thank you to Julius and his team who were outstanding and professional in organising and advising me on my holiday, they really do know what they are talking about. I had an absolutely fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the Kitesurfing school was excellent, the tuition was well organised and the staff/instructors were very helpful. They were well equipped with different boards and kites for all wind conditions and ability levels. I would recommend Hurghada and the hotel to anyone, whether kitesurfing (like me) or not (like my girlfriend). Most off all the level of service received form Waveriders was second to none. If you are considering a kitesurfing holiday whether experienced or an absolute beginner Waveriders is the only place you need to go (believe me I tried elsewhere). We had an awesome time in Egypt. Everything went smoothly from the flights to the shuttle transfer etc. The hotel was divine, the weather even better. Rob had a good time kite surfing and is planning on definitely taking it up. He fitted a bit of scuba diving in as well. I enjoyed lazing on the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the snorkeling. We did a day trip out on a boat and also did a speed boat excursion one afternoon from the hotel. We signed up for a day trip to Luxor with Regal Dive and had a great day. Hurghada is a great spot to learn and practice kitesurfing. The shallow bay really helps and means you don't exhaust yourself too much swimming back to shore/ relaunching. The holiday was well organised- flight, transfer, hotel all went fine. It would help to send out a handy tips list for example I wasn't expecting there to be coral in the bay and so didn't take my wetsuit boots- (OK my fault, but this sort of detail is helpful) We were really unlucky with the weather, waveriders is better than most kitesurfing holiday websites in that it does have weather charts on the website and whilst October was supposed to be good I think we just had bad luck. There was practically no wind all week. We managed to get on the water approximately 4 mornings and in this time I did improve my technique but perhaps would have got further with more wind. Anyway generally I made some progress, I still love the sport and can't wait to do more. Best wishes, Alex |

Waveriders: ' A superb holiday had by all! The whole trip was a hic-up free adventure involving all twenty one of us experiencing the world of kitesurfing/windsurfing in Egypt. 6 days of wind, 7 days of sun, and enough booze to kill several camels, we couldn't have asked for more. We were 9 kitesurfers(5 learners), 6 windsurfers(4 learners) and the rest had the pleasure of kicking back and taking it all in from the comfort of their sun loungers. We expected and Colona provided. The kit, coaching, advice and attitudes were excellent and let us settle in to the week straight away with out any problems. We enjoyed it the momment we got off the plane through to sucking back on our last Sheesha in the Sofitel with Ahmed, our trusty companion who wouldn't let an empty glass rest in our hand all bloody week!!! We were sceptical about the Sofitel hotel, but the lovely cold rooms, beautiful setting and excellent service failed to dissapoint even the more critical of us. Hurghada, is great place to kite, hit the sand bar and you could't be in a better flat water spot. The lagoon provided a great place for watching the learners truly experience their first wipe- outs (nick T) and the saftey boat got to know a few of us very well (Broome) and relentlesly failed to leave us in trouble. Many thanks Henry, George, Ted, Baz, Honk, Spud, Marcous, Jim, James, Wilson, Gloves, Blackers, Thurston, Nouvaux, Bully, Bex, KT, Pee, Fran, Becky, Emma, All in all Awesome! We will return! |

I first used Waveriders back in March and was thoroughly impressed with the service. Colona was excellent and the venue first class for a beginner, as I was then. I therefore took advantage of a last minute booking with you and went again. Again the service was excellent and the kiting was superb. I missed the last day due to falling ill with a severe stomach bug (it actually nearly put me in hospital when I got back) I swore never to return but the pain has now been forgotten and I wish I could return tomorrow !! I find escaping the UK and going to warmer climates really improved my ability, very quickly. I probably gained, in a week, what it would take a lot longer to learn over here. The group are talking about going again next March although I am always looking on your web site for that special deal !!! Although there was hardly any wind that week, and I didn't get out I still had a great time. Sunshine was gorgeous, beach and sea were perfect, and the Magawish pretty good, if slightly chaotic at times (transfer from Magawish back to airport a bit dodgy...). I have never laughed as much as I did that week, thanks to all the cool people out there. Definitely going back - hopefully in April. Kind Regards Lucie Williams |

The holiday was great - the flights were relatively complication free and the meet and great the other end was efficient. Our hotel - The Sofitel was marvellous and had everything we expected and more like odd things on the bed one evening see attached. The Kitesurfing was great sport and hurghada is a fantastic destination to do it, the services of Waverider's are really good. I would recommend you to my friends and am defiantly planning on going again with you. I think that is every thing - Great holiday - great staff - good efficiency - awesome sport ! Thanks.
