The Kitesurfing in Safaga is directly from the beach in front of the Menaville hotel, best suited for independant riders and offers mixed sea conditions of chop, rolling swell and flat water.
The beach has been cleared of the fixed parasols so now has a dedicated kite zone. Kitesurfing from the beach you have a normal wind chop condition but head further out to Tobia island and the downwind side you can experience some of the best flat water riding Egypt offers.
Head upwind from the island and you get 2 to 4ft rolling swell so actually a great place to practise jibing your directional.
What makes Safaga a good spot is that the winds here are accelerated so where other locations are suffering Safaga always seems to be Kiteable.
