Safaga or Port Safaga as its known is a 40 minute drive south from the airport and originally an old fishing port so has a more cultural atmosphere than Hurghada. Safaga town maintains a more cultural atmosphere and with the mountain ranges as a back drop gives some spectacular sun sets.
What does make Safaga unique is that it is a naturally accelerated wind zone so where other kitesurfing destinations in Egypt have light winds Safaga just goes off! The two spots we kite surf from are Kriazi bay and Tobia island both are well known flat water spots that as one of our clients said " is one of the best flat water spots he has kited as a very well travelled person!" cant really say more than that.
