Kitesurfing holidays>Egypt>Abu Soma>The Kitesurfing in Abu Soma

The Kitesurfing in Abu Soma is extremely special as is based right on the tip of the legendery Kriazi Bay so gets the strong and consistant winds associated with this area. The kite zone, when the sea is at high tide, covers a huge sand bar with about a foot of water and just sooooooooo good to kite on. As the tide reseeds you walk out to the edge of the sand bar where the sea drops of to 15m deep so is like sitting on the edge of a huge swimming pool. From here the water is still relatively flat with some wind chop but still a superb condition for all levels.

The wind direction is with side / cross on winds that benefit from the naturally accelerated Kitesurfing zones of Kriazi bay. An ideal spot for all levels and for those looking to kite surf from the beach or enjoy the zones accessible by boat.

The 1st spot is a short walk upwind on the flank of the legendery Kriazi bay and a perfect spot for those looking to Kite surf directly from the beach.  This spot offers a huge kite zone with flat, crystal clear, warm sea with some soft chop and plenty of space. Wind direction side / cross on.

The 2nd spot is accessible by boat only and has a floating platform for rigging up etc right on the edge of the sand bar. Again a huge area that gives two kite zones when at high tide. The sand bar is covered with about 2ft of water so fantastic for those learning and of the deep water channels of kriazi bay for the all levels.
