Sharm El Sheikh and Naama Bay was at one time just a simple fishing village, but now with its crystal clear water, untouched reefs and multitude of ship wrecks, it has become one of Egypt and the Red sea`s popular holiday destinations. It has grown to be a huge resort now with over 200 hotels and is predominantly for divers. For us Kitesurfers we head away from the crowds to the more chilled end of Sharm, Nabq.
Nabq, just a 20 minutes drive along the coast, is much nicer, relaxed and with fewer hotels, a more chilled resort. Locally there is a small "mall" type area with a few bars and restaurants and of course a long, golden sand beach with the kite centre to one end.
In a nutshell, Nabq is an ideal place for all level Kitesurfers looking to Kitesurf directly from the beach, with a top level centre to hand for coaching courses, would love to kite in waves and have other activities to hand for the light wind day and a diverse night life to revel in!
