The wind in the Abu Soma is created by the difference in temperature between the land and sea and blows all year round averaging from Force 4-7Bft. In Abu Soma this is accelerated by the mountain formations which are closer to the coast than in Hurghada or El Gouna making stronger winds.
The wind window is 9am to 2pm in the winter months and 9am to 4 / 5 pm in the summer but always side shore at the surf Motion centre. It is worth noting that this area is tidal so at low tide a huge sand bank is exposed ideal for buggying.
