The wind in Cape Verde is pretty constant and you can expect 15 - 20 knots plus on most days. From November to June the wind direction is predominantly from the North East so cross off at Santa Maria and Cross on at Kite Beach. A typical day will start with a sea breeze that by 10 or 11 can build to 20 knots as slightly thermic and also accelerated by the mountain at the top of kite beach. Full quiver recommended.
For those searching for the wave then Punta Preta works when the winds are more from the east and the wave patterns are rolling accross from the west. However it is more accessable when the wind is from the North as will be side shore.
