Cumbuco is a small fishing village on the North East coast of Brazil, which is renowned for its amazingly consistent trade winds that blow from June to February. Only discovered a few years ago by kite surfers the village is still sleepy and laid-back where life is easy going. With truly epic kitesurfing spots offering glassy still flat water, easy chop or perfect wave spots, without many crowds, its easy to understand why Cumbuco is becoming known throughout the world as the best kitesurfing playground – ever.
Combuco Village is small and centred around the fish market where you can see them unload the early morning catches from the traditional Jangala fishing boats. On the beachfront at the centre of the village you’ll find a strip of restaurants serving up excellent fresh fish and meat, doted in-between you find a few bars, some of which stay open into the early hours.
The abundance of other activities ranging from trips on the traditional Jangala boats, horses riding expeditions, surfing and waterfall jumping in the mountains to the West, in addition to this the warm waters of the Atlantic and the huge sandy beaches, make Cumbuco a great Kitesurfing holiday destination for all.
